Both Taurus models are equipped with 6 airbags,1 including 2 dual-stage front airbags, 2 front-seat side airbags and 2 side-curtain airbags. The Personal Safety System® (with a Front-Passenger Sensing System) enhances protection for the driver and front passenger through a network of sensors that control deployment of the dual-stage front airbags. An ultra-rigid chassis is at the centre of it all, and laser-welded side pillars help redirect crash forces away from occupants. Should a collision occur, the standard SOS Post-Crash Alert System2 activates the horn and emergency flashers if it detects safety belt pretensioner activation or airbag deployment.
